- According to the divorce court case Rosalie left Robert in 1873. He alleged she was committing adultery with William Lund and he claimed £1,000 damages. William and Rosalie denied it. The court must have been unaware that Rosalie and William had married in1875 thereby committing bigamy. The marriage record shows her as a widow and William as a Divinity student!! The latter is interesting given Rosalie’s father being accused of pretending to be a parson in Gosport.
